CMSc at the CMS 2008 congres

cmscongres_2008.jpgAlso this year, the CMS 2008 conference attracted lots of visitors. Erwin Blom from the Crowds (and of course from the VPRO) and Vincent Evers were the key note speakers of the conference. All content management systems were present: GX, Hippo, Tridion, Roxen, SiteCore, etc. etc. Finalist promoted the CMS Container both with the CMSc booth and the combi presentation with Butterfly Works (download presentation). The OneLaptopPerChild (OLPC) with the CMSc Learning about Living website attracted a lot of attention.

Fifth CMSc User Day

personal pages for primary schools

On Tuesday 23-th March 2008 the fifth CMSc user day took place at Finalist at Rotterdam (see presentation). In the morning frontend developers had an opportunity to train their skills in working with the CMSc layout, views and stylesheets. In the afternoon the 1.4 release (see release notes) was presented with a demo of the Personal Pages in the website of the National Comitee in rememberance of May 4 and 5. The personal pages is the first module that uses the new community module in the CMSc. The roadmap for the new releases will be centered around the newsletter module, which is also based on the community module, and improved asset management. The user day closed with a presentation by Jon-Paul Sistermans on www.ikbouwmijnhuisinalmere.nl and the possibilities of Flex/Flash in the CMSc by Diederick Lawson.
