Lucas Vroemen presents L1's steps into open source at the European Broadcast Union
The regional broadcaster L1 started to use the CMSc as its open source content managent system in the beginning of 2007. At the "Open Source Software for media professionals"-conference at the European Broadcast Union, Lucas Vroemen presented L1's next steps. For broadcasters publishing live content through multiple channels means a big challenge for their radio and tv automation systems. The ideal situation being one application that enables the editors to manage content, audio streams and tv streams. In collaboration with the Hoge School Zuyd in Heerlen (NL) a research project was carried out to compare different automation systems for radio stations and how these systems on the long run could be integrated with the CMSc. For more information on the outcomes of this research visit www.lucasvroemen.nl.
